Travelling to Orkney
By air: Fly to any of the mainland Scottish airports of Edinburgh, Glasgow or Inverness and then onto Kirkwall by British Airways.
By ferry: Northlink Ferries operates from Scrabster (near Thurso) to Stromness, from Aberdeen to Kirkwall, and from Lerwick (Shetland) to Kirkwall.
By bus: Scottish Citylink Coaches Ltd offer connecting services from Edinburgh and Glasgow and all major towns northwards to connect with ferries mentioned above.
By car: Travel by car to Aberdeen or Scrabster and take Northlink Ferries to Orkney. Alternatively travel by car to Wick and onwards to Gills Bay and take Pentland Ferries to Orkney. (See above for contact details).
